Preseason guessing, rider speculation and all anticipation can go out the window, Supercross is back and the first two rounds provided nothing but excitement, raw emotion and good racing. Houston, Texas hosted the season opener this year and brought some new light to the front of the race. An emotional Christian Craig had a perfect day going from the fastest qualifier straight into the heat race win followed by a dominating performance in the main event to take his first win in over 5 years. Colt Nichols followed in with a 3rd in the first round with Marvin Musquin making a long awaited return to the podium in the 450 class.

The second round was far different from its predecessor. Just a few days prior, a seasoned veteran took the win in the 250, but now it was time for a newcomer. Jett Lawrence lead all 15 minutes plus 1 lap in the main to grab his first career victory in just 8 starts. The podium sweep was completed with Colt Nichols and Christian Craig rounding out the top three. A rookie in the 450 class found himself under the knife just a month prior to the season start, but just a handful of weeks later he was on the podium of a 450 Supercross race. Dylan Ferrandis has made an incredible recovery and shows he’s meant to be in the front of the class.
