100% Rider Brett Metcalfe will contest the Canadian Motocross Nationals this summer aboard his new Monster Energy backed Leading Edge Kawasaki.
The seasoned veteran hailing from Australia is one of the hardest-working men in motocross. Brett began his pro career in his home country by racing in the Australian Supercross series in 2001 before heading overseas in 2002 to compete in the MX2 class of the World Motocross GP series.
Metcalfe made the move to America to race Supercross and Motocross in 2003. Brett claimed several podium positions and had top-five season finishes several times while riding for Red Bull KTM, Yamaha of Troy, GEICO Powersports and Pro Circuit in the Lites class. Metty had a standout year in 2005 which included winning the U.S. Open of Supercross. In 2011 Metcalfe joined the Factory Suzuki team alongside Ryan Dungey on the RMZ 450. He went on to finish in 4th overall in the Lucas Oil Motocross 450 that year and claimed his first overall victory at Southwick.
Overcoming injuries that sidelined him for the better part of 2012, Metcalfe is ready for the new season and will set his sights on the Canadian Motocross Nationals this summer. He will be riding a Monster Energy backed Kawasaki KXF 450 for the Leading Edge Kawasaki team based in Kamloops, British Columbia. Brett joins teammates Tyler Villopoto, Teddy Maier, and Austin Politelli. The team will ride out of the Kamloops, British Columbia race shop and race the nine round outdoor series. The season starts June 2nd.
100% is proud to support Metcalfe and the Leading Edge Kawaski team. Watch for Metty in his new 100% goggles this weekend at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships at Hangtown.
